Chapter 7 Advanced File Searching

In this chapter, I have learned various different ways to search for files. One way to search files is using the Boolean operators. Another method of searching is using specialized properties, using an exact phrase, or key search words. You learn how to search a custom scope. You also learn how to search using natural language. You learn how to Filter files. One way is to filter using a file list heading. I also learned how to create and add a folder or file for Indexing. I learned how to add tags to files, which helps a lot when it comes to searching, as well as searching using a tag property, author, file size, non- index searching, picture properties, music properties, video properties, and date properties. There a very many ways to Search files and folders with windows 7. I find it a bit confusing though at times. So i stick to keyword searches. I also learned how to save a search, delete a search, open the searches folder, and search for saved files. I also learned how to expand my search through the Start Menu.

This concludes what I have learned through this chapter.
